PNRSE 120: Practical Nursing (PN) PN Clinical IV - Clinical Preceptorship 6 Cr

This final clinical course uses campus and simulation laboratory settings for practice of selected nursing skills for the planning and implementation of care across the lifespan. In the clinical setting, students will provide direct client care, manage care, and prioritize care for groups. Students work as a team member on an acute care medical-surgical floor and precept in acute, ambulatory, or long-term care settings where they gain experience as a nurse manager.
Prerequisite: Students must be accepted into the Practical Nursing program after all admission criteria are met. Students must have completed PNRSE 112 and PNRSE 114 all with a grade of a C or better to move on to the following quarter. PNRSE 120 is to be taken concurrenty with PNRSE 116 and PNRSE 118 .
