PHIL 212: Ethics and Policy in Healthcare II

This course focuses on how normative ethical theories and legal policies governing nursing practice apply to specific ethical issues in healthcare. The course addresses how ethical theories as well as state and national laws apply to ethical issues regarding patient privacy, autonomy, beginning and end of life, disabilities, gerontology, etc.
Prerequisite: Admission to the YVC Nursing program and completion of PHIL 112  with a grade of C or better.
