NRSE 231: Nursing VI Practice6 Cr Quarters: F, W, S This clinical course provides clinical application of theoretical concepts in the nursing care of individuals who are experiencing multi-dimensional health alterations. Clinical experiences include acute inpatient mental health and a precepted clinical practicum. The course emphasizes the use of the nursing process to develop individualized nursing care plans for patients across the lifespan. The concepts of communication, lifespan, legal/ethical issues, pharmacology, nutrition, leadership, safety, health teaching, and culture are included. Prerequisite: NRSE 220 and NRSE 221 both with a grade of C or better and concurrent enrollment in or successful completion of NRSE 230 with a grade of C or better.
