Automotive Service Technology Certificates
Certificates provide first-year automotive students with entry-level skills in the specialized area aimed to assist them with gaining entry-level employment in those specialized automotive industries and gain experience during the AST program. Combining both certificates will be advantageous to the student by expanding the opportunities of employment in the industry. Note: Students seeking to gain eligibility for the certificates must contact the AST program advisor prior to enrollment as financial aid can be affected.
Required Courses
Students in their first year of the AST program can obtain a certificate in the specialized ASE areas of Automotive Steering/Suspension Systems (A4) and Brake Systems (A5). The certificate will be awarded to the student who successfully completes this coursework with a C+ (2.5) GPA or better.
