Required Courses
This certificate provides entry-level skills in manual and computer-aided drafting. The program focuses on specific occupational skills and is suited for persons who find it hard to attend college for two years to acquire employable skills.
The credits earned through this program can be applied to the associate of applied science degree requirements for civil engineering or computer drafting. The first-year classes are to be taken for the certificate.
Note: The one-year drafting certificate program is the first year of the Associate of Applied Science Construction Design and Civil Engineering Technology degrees.

Students will be able to:
- apply the knowledge of CAD (computer aided design) to design and solve engineering problems.
- apply general and engineering-specific concepts and methodologies to identify, analyze, and solve engineering problems.
- apply the knowledge of basic survey concepts to measure, analyze and solve survey problems.
