PHIL 225: Bioethics

This course introduces students to the ethical issues in modern society related to the biological and medical sciences. The course surveys standard bioethical issues pertaining to the beginning and end of human life, such as abortion and euthanasia. This course also surveys emerging bioethical issues. Students will also learn about metaethical and normative ethical theories that are applied to specific moral problems in bioethics.
Prerequisite: Completion of ENGL& 101  or permission of instructor.
