VET 239: Surgery Lab 2 Cr
Quarters: W
Students will apply principles of effective anesthesia and surgical nursing while performing as sterile and non-sterile assistants and anesthetist during small animal surgeries and other medical procedures. This will include preparations of the operating room, plus use and maintenance of monitoring equipment, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization equipment.
Prerequisite: Completion of VET 204 , VET 205 , VET 213 , VET 224 , VET 225 , VET 236 , and VET 237 all with a grade of C or better or permission of instructor.
