CHEM& 242: Organic Chemistry II Lecture 3 Cr

This is the second course of a three quarter sequence in organic chemistry intended for students majoring in a scientific field or preparing for health related careers. Spectroscopy, nucleophilic substitution and elimination reactions, chemistry of alcohols, ethers, and an introduction to the chemistry of the carbonyl group will be covered.
Prerequisite: Completion of CHEM& 241 with a grade of C or better.
