BIOL 124: Plants and Wildlife of Washington 5 Cr Quarters: O This course is intended for non-science majors seeking a lab science course. The main emphasis will be on the plants and wildlife of Washington, especially those found locally. Students will learn to recognize common species and understand the special adaptations that each organism has for survival. Other topics covered will include ecosystem processes, climate, geology, and human influences (both past and present). Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 and eligibility for MATH 080 . Note: Field trips are required as part of this course and often involve hiking over uneven terrain. Any questions regarding field trips should be directed to the instructor.
