NRSE 120: Nursing II Theory 5 Cr Quarters: F, W, S This is the second theory course in the associate degree sequence. The focus is on the nursing care of selected populations throughout the lifespan experiencing alterations in wellness as a result of surgery, uncontrolled cell growth, and reproductive system disorders. This course also includes normal and abnormal physiologic changes during pregnancy, childbirth, and with the newborn. The application of safe, evidence-based, client-centered nursing care to diverse populations across the lifespan is the foundation of the course; this encompasses the concepts of clinical reasoning, quality improvement, information systems, team collaboration, and ethics. Prerequisite: Completion of NRSE 110 , and PHIL 112 both with a grade of C or better and completion of NRSE 111 with a grade of CR, and concurrent enrollment in or completion of PSYCH 250 , with a grade of C or better.
