ECON 205: Economic Geography 5 Cr Quarters: S An introduction to the spatial patterns of economic activity on both a regional and global scale. Focuses on the growth and intensification of global ties, the distribution of resources and wealth, and the resulting inequalities and tensions. Topics include trade development; resource extraction; agriculture, manufacturing, and service sector economies; transportation; communication; and environmental impact. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 and eligibility for MATH 085 . Note: This course is cross-disciplined. Credit cannot be given for both GEOG 205 and ECON 205.
