ECON 101: Introduction to Economics 5 Cr Quarters: F, W, S This course introduces students to the study of Economics. Students will explore the most common principles associated with microeconomics and macroeconomics, the main fields of economics. These principles may include supply and demand, factors of production, economic growth, competitive models, unemployment, inflation, and economic policy. Students will utilize these principles to examine economic issues found in current economic events, and apply economic reasoning to understand our federal, state, and local economies. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 or successful completion of BA 138 with a grade of C or better and eligibility for MATH 085 or successful completion of BA 115 with a grade of C or better.
