GEOG 205: Economic Geography 5 Cr Quarters: O An introduction to the spatial patterns of economic activity on both a regional and global scale. Focuses on the growth and intensification of global ties, the distribution of resources and wealth, and the resulting inequalities and tensions. Topics include trade, development, resource extraction, agriculture, manufacturing, and service sector economies, transportation, communication, and environmental impact. Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 and eligibility for MATH 085 . Note: The class is cross-disciplined. Credit cannot be given for both GEOG 205 and ECON 205.
