CJ 212: Criminal Justice Technical Writing

3 Cr
Quarters: S
This course offers a team-teaching approach to prepare students for a variety of settings relating to Criminal Justice report writing. Students will learn to write a Pre-Sentence Investigation Report, violation reports and stipulated agreements pertaining to community corrections. Students will also learn the importance of how to complete booking forms and incident reports for secured facilities such as jails and prisons. Police reporting will be demonstrated and students will take part in scenario-based report writing exercises.
