CJ 210: Administration & Supervision

This course explores Criminal Justice organizations and the impact of administration on first-line supervisors. Course material will examine organizational structures, budget, training and communication and how they influence supervisory roles. Through this course, students will gain a deeper understanding of the authority and responsibilities allocated to first-level supervisors and other administrative levels. Students will learn how these roles contribute to achieving an organization’s philosophy, future visions, and their missions with various criminal justice departments and agencies. This includes law enforcement, courts and corrections.
