SUTC 083: Basic Technology II

This course provides an introduction to basic computer skills for ABE/ELA students who are novice computer users. Through a hands-on approach, students will learn intermediate level word processing skills, learn introductory spread sheet skills, and learn how to create multimedia presentations. Basic reading and writing will be taught in the context of using a personal computer. This course prepares students to successfully use technology in college level classes. Students can earn high school credit for this class through their local district. To take this course students need to have basic computer skills.                                                                                                                                                  
Prerequisite:  Eligibility for Reading 4 and Writing 4 or permission of instructor.
