ASTR& 110: The Solar System 5 Cr
Quarters: O
Students will explore our Solar System, including the Sun, planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. Emphasis will be placed on comparing other Solar System bodies with the Earth in order to better understand Earth as part of the community of planets. Students will learn and apply basic principles of physics, chemistry, biology, geology, and atmospheric science to learn about the structure, contents, and formation of our Solar System.
Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 and eligibility for MATH 095 +MATH 005 .
