MUSC& 233: Music Theory 6

This course introduces and explores various post-tonal theoretical concepts and demonstrates their analytical and compositional uses, borrowed chords, synthetic scales, octatonic scales, hexatonic scales, pentatonic scales, church modes, and tone-rows will be covered in depth. This course must be taken concurrently with MUSC& 223 Ear Training 6. This is the sixth in a series of six theory courses offered.  
Prerequisite: Completion of MUSC& 232   with a grade of C or better or permission of instructor and concurrent enrollment in MUSC& 223  .
