BASED 301: Teacher Residency 1

Quarters: F, W, S
This is the first of six courses promoting the application of developmental, competency-based learning. This course covers initial skills related to language arts/literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, technology, art, music, and physical education. This course incorporates the standards for professional teacher behavior as specified by the Professional Education Standards Board (PESB). Focus areas for this course include terminology of lesson planning and assessment, history of U.S. education, and tenets of anti-bias education.
Prerequisite: Admission to the BAS Teacher Education (BASTE) Program.
