VET 165: Surgical Nursing Lab

This course covers the practical development of veterinary surgical assistant skills, including surgical preparations and the role as the non-sterile assistant, aseptic technique, care and use of surgical instrumentation and equipment, plus maintenance of the surgical suite. 
Prerequisite: Completion of VET 114 , VET 115 , and VET 118  all with a grade of C or better and concurrent enrollment in VET 164  or permission of instructor and/or Vet Tech Program director.
