VET 110: Veterinary Medical Dosages

3 Cr
Quarters: W
Students will apply practical math to learn dosage and calculation of medicines used in veterinary medicine. Prescription abbreviations, routes of drug administration, the metric system, drug labels, types of drug preparations, and the equipment used to measure doses will be included.
Prerequisite: Placement or course equivalency demonstrating readiness for intermediate algebra and admission to the Vet Tech Program, or permission of the instructor and Program Director.
