ASL 101: American Sign Language I

Quarters: F, W, S
This course is the first in a related series of courses that focus on the use and study of American Sign Language (ASL), the language that is most widely used by the American Deaf Community and third most widely used language in the United States. This course includes basic ASL vocabulary, grammatical structures, and conversational behaviors. Special emphasis will be placed on the cultural values and beliefs shared by the Deaf Community.
