POLS& 201: Introduction to Political Theory 5 Cr

This course is an introduction to the study of political theory. Political theory considers and evaluates generalizations about political life and it explores beliefs, ideas, and assumptions regarding the purpose for government, a just society, and about the political capabilities of human beings. Students will examine and discuss the meaning and significance of political concepts like government, justice, liberty, equality, human rights, and citizenship.
Prerequisite: Eligibility for ENGL& 101 .
