Exploratory Pathway

If you want to explore educational and career options before you choose a certificate or degree to work towards at YVC, the Exploratory Pathway may be for you!

The Exploratory Pathway is intended to assist those who aren’t yet quite sure of college and/or career goals and wish to explore college options. Through the advising process, students will explore their interests and goals with Exploratory Pathway advisors. Working together with their advisor, students will select courses of interest to further explore certificate and degree options offered by YVC and also explore programs and degrees beyond YVC. 

Students who are working towards a high school diploma through YVC should initially select the Explorartory Pathway. Exploratory Pathway advisors will also assist students in transitioning to another pathway once a selection has been made by the student, although some students remain in the Exploratory Pathway while they continue to explore their interests and goals while working towards a two-year transfer degree.
