HSC 039: HSC Writing 6 Variable Cr
Quarters: F, W, S, SR
Writing 6 will focus on writing about literary themes and topics found in a work of fiction or literary non-fiction, enhanced by active participation in class discussions, while also connecting those themes and topics to the student’s own life and experiences. The writing will follow standard conventions of formatting, spelling, punctuation, and grammar. The student will also incorporate MLA formatting and include evidence from the book without plagiarizing. This course is for College and Career Readiness (CCR) students and will serve as an alternate method of reaching the English competency level required for a high school diploma.
Prerequisite: Completion of HSC 038 or instructor recommendation.
