AHPT 120: Pharmaceutical Calculations 3 Cr

This course teaches mathematical calculations a pharmacy technician will need to perform accurately in the workplace. Included are dosages, ration and proportions, conversions, dilutions and concentrations, allegation, flow rates, and percent strength calculations. When and why a pharmacy technician will calculate these in various pharmacy workplaces will be explored.
Prerequisite: Completion of MATH 075 with a grade of C or better and acceptance into the Pharmacy Technician program.
