CHEM& 243: Organic Chemistry III Lecture 3 Cr

This course is the third course of a three quarter sequence in organic chemistry intended for students majoring in a scientific field or preparing for health related careers. Reactions of carboxylic acids and their derivatives, enols and enolates, aromatic compounds, and amines will be covered. An introduction to biologically important compounds such as carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids and their reactions will be provided.
Prerequisite: Completion of CHEM& 242 with a grade of C or better.
